Nyala Safari Lodge
Our extensive viewing deck runs the full length of the lodge with spectacular views of the waterhole, the main focal point of the lodge.
From here our meals are served either in the open or under our thatched veranda.
The open plan kitchen can be viewed from the comfy lounge area where you can see the culinary delights being prepared for you, by our friendly chefs.
From morning, a tea and coffee station is available to our guests with freshly made muffins, South African rusks and biscuits. We also offer an honesty bar for our guests’ convenience.
A refreshing plunge pool with sun loungers allows guests to cool off and relax in the green surrounds of lawn and lush indigenous gardens. You will see resident bushbuck and playful monkeys in the garden.
Our rustic boma, set above the waterhole, allows for special dinners to be eaten around a roaring log fire. As the meal ends the ambience of a star-studded night and the nocturnal sounds, bring life to the night, and resonate deep within your soul.
The Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, is vast and filled with indigenous bushveld and abundant wildlife, including the sought after Big 5, which roam freely through this area. Like any lodge, game sightings cannot be guaranteed. Seasonal changes, food and territorial disputes influence the daily lives of these animals. The animals roam freely, and it is a privilege to go in search of Africa's wildlife, and a reward when found. We have exceptional guides with vast knowledge of the flora and fauna. You are guaranteed to learn something new.
Africa changes with the seasons and never wears the same face. Summers are hot, humid but beautifully green. The animals survive and multiply. Autumn brings the bush alive with multiple colours and the wildlife is always on the move. Winters can be harsh, dry and unforgiving, testing the survival of the fittest. But each season starts and ends the day with the most amazing sunrises and breath-taking sunsets.
